Eccentric Butterfly Valves

SIERRA model 7500 is an eccentric disc seated – double eccentric – butterfly valves. Valve body and discs are designed to provide minimal flow resistance. Precise tightness is ensured on both sides. The double eccentric effect enables the rubber sealing ring to separate easily from the body seat, results in a cam like motion to lift the seat from the seal during the first degree of opening, there by reduces the opening resistance, wear and improves the service life of the valve seat. The sealing ring can be easily changed in pipeline without disassembling the disc. 7500 BFV model is suitable for high-pressure waterworks applications, it is an excellent valve for isolation purposes, and it might also be used for throttling purposes under certain conditions

Main Product Features
  • Double eccentric design prevents high friction between the disc rubber seal and body seat in during the first few degrees of opening and closing of the valve. The double eccentric design hence prolongs the life of the rubber seal.
  • Stainless steel seat design, is welded and precisely machined inside the valve body hence: Providing a lower coefficient of friction during operation, high corrosion, and wear resistance
  • Rubber seal & retainer mechanism (pressure activated rubber seal molded in one piece -no glued joint- is mechanically attached to a highly secured retainer sealing mechanism
  • Tight closure in both direction at valve rating pressures
